Last updated: 7 September 2026. This policy explains how mawg.uk uses cookies and similar technologies, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Some are essential for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used or remember your preferences.

Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
These are required for the store to function and do not need your consent. They include: WooCommerce session and cart cookies (for example woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session) which remember what is in your bag; WordPress login cookies (wordpress_logged_in, wordpress_sec) if you sign in to your account; and the cookie set by our consent banner that records your cookie choices. Most expire when you close your browser or within a few days; login cookies last up to two weeks.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If enabled, these help us understand which pages are visited and how the store performs, so we can improve it. We only set them if you accept them in the banner. Data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
We do not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent through the banner first and update this policy.

Third-party cookies
When you pay, our payment processor may set its own cookies on the checkout page to secure the transaction and prevent fraud; these are treated as strictly necessary. Embedded content from third parties, where present, is governed by that provider’s policy.

Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the bag and checkout from working.
